Swansea City have parted company with their first-team head coach Ceri Phillips.
Phillips took over the role in August 2022, right before the Swans’ Champions League games away in Greece.
He guided the club to a second-place finish last season in the Adran Premier, but suffered early cup exits, including a cup defeat at home to Adran North side Llandudno.
In his opening three games of this season, Phillips and his Swansea team have beaten Barry Town United, drawn to Wrexham, and most recently, lost to Cardiff Met. At the time of his departure, Swansea currently sit fourth in the Adran Premier.
A statement read: “Swansea City Women can confirm Ceri Phillips has left his position as head coach by mutual consent.
“Assistant coach Harry Thomas has also departed, and the club would like to place on record its thanks to Ceri and Harry for their efforts while in charge.”
Under-19’s coach Chris Church will oversee affairs on an interim basis. He will take charge of their game against Pontypridd United at Llandarcy on Sunday, October 8. Church had been Phillips’ predecessor and his under-19 side are currently fifth in the league.
