Llanelli Town have announced the signing of Barbados international Curtis Jemmett-Hutson from Cymru Premier side Pontypridd United.

The club announcment read: “Llanelli Town AFC are delighted to announce the signing of Curtis Jay Jemmett-Hutson. Hutson is a current Barbados international and brings a wealth of experience into the side.”

The 29-year-old started his career in the youth ranks of Cardiff City, going on to represent several Cymru Leagues sides including Port-Talbot Town, Barry Town, and Penybont. Jemmett-Hutson also played for Newport County, Merthyr Town, and Cinderford Town during his career.

The Cardiff-born forward has featured 14 times for Ponty United this season in all competitions, dropping down a division in an attempt to help The Reds get promoted back to the top flight.

The news was followed by the announcement of the arrival of Matthew Delaney, with the 24-year-old joining from Goodwick United, having previously made 45 appearances for Carmarthen Town.

The club also announced the return of former player Thomas Hillman, after he rejoined the club from Merthyr Town.

Hillman was a regular in The Reds side last season, recording seven goals and one assist in all competitions, before joining The Martyrs in the summer.

The arrivals come after the departure of forward Callum Bateman and midfielder Louis Gerrard, who both left Stebonheath Park to join Newport City of the Ardal South East Division.

All three signings made their debuts in a 3-2 win against Afan Lido. Josef Hopkins opened the scoring for the Reds and then Hillman earned a brace whilst Jemmett-Hutson registered two assists.
