HOLYWELL, WALES - 27TH FEBRUARY 2024: Holywell Town's Jamie Breese makes it 3-0 to the home side just before half time at the JD Cymru North fixture between Holywell Town and Guilsfield at the Achieve More Stadium, Holywell. 27th of February, Holywell, Wales

Colwyn Bay have been tipped to repeat their heroics of 2022 after being named favourites to win the Cymru North.

The Seagulls were relegated from the Cymru Premier after just one season. There has been a changing of the guard though with Steve Evans moved on and now Mike Wilde is in charge.

Holywell Town competed with the Seagulls for the title in 2022 and it was a closely contested race. The Wellmen are now defending the title they earned last season, and having proven they were the best in the north last term, they will want to do that again as they try and get the club up to the standards of the Cymru Premier.

Airbus UK, Bangor 1876 and Llandudno are all expected to be the chasing pack. The Wingmakers signed Danny Warren from Mold Alexandra, and then there’s the Citizens who will want to reach the promised land at some point.

Llandudno did well to avoid the drop last term with Jordan Hadaway doing a tremendous job given the circumstances. Things are settled down at Maesdu Park now, so there is no reason why they can’t improve on their finish from last season.

Flint Mountain and Llay Welfare are the new clubs on the block whilst Penrhyncoch have come up from the Ardal North East. Out of the promoted trio, it’s Flint who have been predicted to finish the highest, with a top-half finish the expectation.

Llay Welfare are expected to go down where they will occupy the final relegation spot, and Penrhyncoch aren’t too far behind.
