Neither side could find a winning goal The Oval as Caernarfon Town and Bala Town drew 0-0 in front of a crowd of over 900 fans.

The Cofis came closest to finding a winning goal and even had multiple shouts for a penalty after Morgan Owen and Marc Williams both hit the deck in the area but both appeals were waved away.

Newtown fought back from a goal behind to secure a 2-1 win away to Barry Town United. It was a fast start from the hosts as Keenan Patten opened the scoring in the opening minute with a composed finish.

Aaron Williams levelled the game with a brilliant volley from the edge of the area to open his account for the season. Williams got his second of the game as he scored the match winner with a well taken header at the back post.

Ollie Hulbert had the opportunity from the penalty spot to salvage a point for the hosts but he was denied by a fine save from Alex Swindell in goal as they held on for all three points.

A five-star display from Penybont sent them to the top of the Cymru Premier table with a 5-1 win against Aberystwyth Town. In what was a difficult day for The Seasiders they suffered a setback in the warm up with John Owen and Rhys Davies sustaining injuries.

Mael Davies opened the scoring for Bont with a header following a perfect cross from Dan Jefferies. Aber levelled with a strike from Devon Torry before Billy Borge headed the hosts back in front before the break.

Owen Pritchard added a third from close range before an own goal from Liam Walsh all but ended the visitors hopes.Veteran forward Chris Venables scored the fifth extending his record of consecutive goals in Cymru Premier seasons to 22. The record extends all the way from the 2003/04 season.

The points were shared at Cyncoed Campus as Cardiff Met and Haverfordwest County played out a 0-0 draw. Bluebirds forward Ben Ahmun came close as his header crashed off the crossbar before a strike from Matthew Chubb was ruled out for offside to the frustration of The Archers.

The result means both clubs maintain their unbeaten start to the campaign after the opening four fixtures. Briton Ferry and Flint United remain rooted to the foot of the table after their difficult start to life back in the top flight.
