Barry Town 1-0 Aberystwyth Town LIVE! Cymru Premier result, match stream and latest updates
Barry Town welcome Aberystwyth Town to Jenner Park in the JD Cymru Premier.
Both teams will be aiming to pick up all the points to drive them up the Cymru Premier table. Barry sit in 8th place while the Seasiders dropped to bottom following Briton Ferry’s first win at Penybont.
Barry may feel that they should be after up the league but four draws in their nine games see them in 8th. They have picked up two wins coming from two down against Flint with Ollie Hulbert getting the winning goal. They followed that with a 2-1 win over Connah’s Quay Hulbert grabbing the winner again. Since then they have not won in the last three losing to TNS and then draws with Caernarfon and Haverfordwest.
Aber have just one win and won draw so far from their nine games. John Owen scoring as they held Nomads to a 1-1 draw at Park Avenue. They followed this with a win over today’s host’s Jonathan Evans getting the only goal in a 1-0 win. Since then they have lost six straight games in the JD Cymru Prem.
The Seasider are slightly ahead in the head-to-head winning three of the last six meetings. Barry have won two with one draw. The last meeting at Jenner Park saw Sam Sanith give the Linnets an early lead before Billy Kirkman levelled for Aber. Barry secured the win in the 83rd minute when Kayne McLaggon set up Ollie Hulbert for the winning goal.
A win for Barry could see them move into the top half of the table while a Aber victory could move them out of the relegation places.
