Cardiff City star announced in Craig Bellamy’s 26-man squad for Nations League double header

Cardiff City star man Rubin Colwill has been named in Craig Bellamy’s latest 26-man Wales squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures in November.

Colwill has been in fine form for his club in recent weeks helping them to a six game unbeaten run following a difficult start to their Championship campaign.

There is also returns for Leeds United winger Daniel James following a spell with injury and Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Tom King.

Defender Joe Rodon is in line to receive his 50th Wales cap in the upcoming camp having made 48 appearances for Wales since his debut against Azerbaijan in September 2019.

Captain Aaron Ramsey and Ethan Ampadu remain sidelined with Swansea City midfielder Ollie Cooper also missing out in a spot in the squad due to injury.

Bellamy will be hoping to continue his positive start to life as the new Wales boss as he remains undefeated with two wins and two draws in his opening four competitive fixtures, becoming the first Wales manager to do so.

Wales travel to Kayseri to take on Türkiye on Saturday 16th of November before returning to The Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday 19th November to take on Iceland in their final group stage fixture. Should Wales win their remaining two fixtures they would secure promotion to League A of the UEFA Nations League.

Should Bellamy’s side finish second in the group they will enter a two-legged play-off fixture with a League A side in March with an opportunity to earn promotion, with the draw for those fixtures taking place on November 22nd.

The draw for Wales’ FIFA 2026 World Cup Qualifying campaign will also take place following the international window with the draw set to take place on Friday December 13th.
