Wrexham players have penned their farewell messages after the Genero Adran Premier club announced their departures.
The Red Dragons have posted their retained list for the 2024/25 season, and three have left. Amber Lightfoot, Katie Sharp and Rebecca Pritchard have been released.
Delyth Morgan has retired from playing and will now focus on her role as a coach. She will work with the Cymru Youth National teams as a goalkeeping coach alongside her role at Women’s Super League side Liverpool. Brooke Cairns also departed, joining Burnley.

Pritchard’s parting message to Wrexham
Pritchard returned to Wrexham for a second spell, having initially been a part of the first team to play in the Women’s top-flight. She made 95 appearances and scored the club’s first goal in the Adran Premier.
“My time at Wrexham AFC has come to an end,” said in a post on X.
“I will forever be grateful I had the opportunity to represent Wrexham. Never did I dream I would have the opportunity to play at The Racecourse and in America in front of so many fans.
“Thank you to all the coaches and players that I have had the privilege to work alongside, for making my experience playing for the club such a great one. Most importantly, thank you to the fans for your continued support through the years.
“I wish Wrexham all the best for next season and the future. The club and town will always hold a special place in my heart. Onto the next challenge.”
Lightfoot’s goodbye to Wrexham

Lightfoot is another long-serving player to depart, as her four-year association with the club comes to an end. She was part of the Under-19 title-winning side, with her performances getting her enough recognition to play for the first team.
During her time at the club, she was awarded the Genero Adran North Young Player of the Season. In total, she made 91 appearances for the seniors, scoring 45 goals.Shared on a post on X, Lightfoot, in her message, began with: “What a journey it’s been over the last four years with Wrexham.
“Unfortunately, my time has come to an end. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to play for this amazing club and be part of the journey on where the Women’s team is today.
“I just want to thank all the players and staff that I’ve worked alongside over the years, who have made this journey so special.
“A huge thank you goes to the fans who have supported myself but also the team through the years. I wish this team all the best for the coming season.”
