Plymouth Argyle, Peterborough United, Walsall and more ponder transfer for Cymru Premier star
Isaac Lee made the move from Flint Town United to the Football League.
Flint Town United defender Issac Lee is attracting attention from several English Football League clubs ahead of a potential move.
Journalist Pete O’Rourke of Football Insider has reported on a social media post that several EFL sides are monitoring the progress of the highly-rated Flint Town United defender.
According to the report, Stevenage, Plymouth Argyle, Peterborough United, Walsall, Bromley, Salford City and Shrewsbury Town are all showing interest in the 22-year-old, who is believed to have a release clause included in his current contract with the Cymru Premier club.
In the summer transfer window, it was reported that Cardiff City, Crawley, Toronto FC, Huddersfield Town and Swansea City were all tracking the defender. Formal offers had been received, and permission was given to complete the move, although the identity of the club or clubs was not officially confirmed. Flint boss Lee Fowler said Lee needed to pass his visa test, suggesting a move to Major League Soccer was on the cards.

Lee Fowler responds to Isaac Lee transfer rumours
Silkmen boss Lee Fowler responded to the links, however, by saying: “Superb Pete, if you can me updated as well be good hear myself,” perhaps pouring cold water on the rumours.
This is the second successive transfer window in which Lee has been linked with a move to the Essity Stadium. A departure from Flintshire appeared likely last summer, but no move materialised, and the defender has since knuckled down and focused on his football.

Lee has been a regular feature for Flint Town United this season, making 18 appearances in the Cymru Premier. The defender has also contributed at the attacking end, scoring once in a fixture against Briton Ferry.
With multiple clubs tracking his situation and a release clause potentially easing negotiations, Lee could become a sought-after option during upcoming transfer windows as EFL sides look to strengthen their defensive ranks.

Flint Town United’s transfer business
Flint Town United have acted to prepare for the potential departure of Issac Lee by bringing in Max Purvis on loan from EFL Championship side Wrexham.
Purvis, who has been with Wrexham since 2016, has made 95 appearances across the club’s Under-18s and reserve teams. The 18-year-old was part of the Red Dragons squad that reached the Third Round of the FA Youth Cup, and he now has the chance to gain valuable first-team experience with Flint Town United.
Osebi Abadaki has also joined Flint Town United, arriving from JD Cymru Premier rivals Caernarfon Town. Abadaki made 20 appearances across three competitions for the Cofi, contributing a goal and an assist for Richard Davies’ side.
Alec Mudimu has also returned to the squad, providing a timely boost for Flint Town United. The 30-year-old was called up for Zimbabwe’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign. Although he was an unused substitute in all three group stage matches, he will have gained valuable experience from being part of a major international tournament.
Flint did allow left-back Daniel Davies to depart, with the former Wrexham academy defender linking up with JD Cymru North side Denbigh Town. The 21-year-old appeared a total of 13 times this season, but was mainly a substitute.
