Trefelin will be without their top scorer, Luke Bowen, following his departure from the club.

The 38-year-old rejoined Trefelin for a second spell and played a crucial role in their most successful season to date, helping them secure the Cymru South title. That triumph ensured promotion to the Welsh top flight for the first time in the club’s history, although Bowen will not be part of their debut campaign at the higher level.

Bowen finished the season as the Cymru South Golden Boot winner with 21 goals, underlining his importance in front of goal and his influence throughout the campaign.

He becomes the second player to depart the club after their promotion, following Jordan Vickers’ early exit. The 30-year-old made 19 appearances for the club this previous term.

Club Statement

“On behalf of everyone at Trefelin BGC we would like to thank Luke Bowen for his service over two spells at the club.

Last season Luke played a huge part in our title-winning campaign, being awarded the JD Cymru South Golden Boot award.
