The Cymru Premier continues to see a flurry of transfer activity, with several players finding new homes this summer.
With just a week to go until the summer registration window officially opens, clubs have wasted little time in announcing new signings and releasing retained lists.
While some players have simply moved between clubs within the league, others have arrived from further afield.
Briton Ferry secure Chubb and Jenkins
Briton Ferry Llansawel announced a double signing on 8 June, confirming the arrivals of Matt Chubb and Tristan Jenkins.
Chubb’s departure from Cardiff Met came as a surprise, given his long association with the Cyncoed-based club. The 27-year-old had been with the Archers since 2018, making 177 appearances during that time. Last season, he featured 28 times in all competitions and scored four goals, including a memorable long-range effort against Flint Town United.
Joining him at Old Road is winger Jenkins, who missed just one match for Llanelli Town during the 2024-25 campaign. Despite a challenging season for the Reds, he contributed five assists and one goal in 31 league appearances.

Haverfordwest County snap up striker Rees
Another player to depart Cardiff Met this summer is Lewis Rees, who has joined Haverfordwest County ahead of the new season.
Rees spent four years in the Welsh capital after initially joining the Archers on loan from The New Saints before making the move permanent.
During his time at Cyncoed Campus, the forward scored 31 goals and provided 28 assists in 181 appearances. Last season, he featured 29 times in all competitions, contributing five goals and five assists.
Haverfordwest are implementing a hybrid model that will allow several players to train on a full-time basis, with Rees among those set to benefit. He becomes the Bluebirds’ third signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Jordan Hackett and experienced midfielder Clayton Green.
Speaking after completing the move, Rees said to the official club website:
“I’m really excited to have signed for the club with their ambition and where they want to get to.
“I’m looking forward to a new challenge and being part of this great club.”
The signing helps fill the void left by Ben Fawcett, who departed the club during the winter transfer window.
Manager Tony Pennock added:
“Lewis has been a consistent member of a very good Met side for several seasons.
“When the opportunity to speak to him became available, it was something I was keen to do.
“We needed to add to our attacking options since losing Fawcey, and Lewis is an excellent addition to that area of our squad.”
Connah’s Quay Nomads sign former Huddersfield Town starlet
Connah’s Quay Nomads have strengthened their squad with the signing of Mikey Stone ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The former Huddersfield Town youngster arrives at the Essity Stadium after gaining experience in the English non-league game, having spent time with clubs including Macclesfield and Altrincham.
An attacking player capable of operating across several forward positions, Stone becomes the latest addition to John Disney’s squad as the Nomads continue their preparations for the UEFA Conference League qualifying campaign.
Speaking to the official club website after securing Stone’s signature, Nomads manager John Disney highlighted not only the attacker’s ability, but also the mentality and work ethic that convinced him to bring the 22-year-old to Deeside.
“Mikey is a player who I believe will bring real excitement to the team as we head into the new season and our European campaign.
“He has come through an excellent footballing environment and his natural ability is clear to see, but what has impressed me most is his attitude. His desire to improve, work ethic and commitment to getting better every day really stood out.
“After meeting Mikey, I knew straight away he was someone I wanted to work with, and I’m sure our supporters will enjoy watching him play.”
Holywell continue summer rebuild with Davies arrival
Holywell Town have continued their busy summer recruitment by bringing in forward Owen Davies.
The 21-year-old joins from Colwyn Bay and will be hoping for a fresh start after a frustrating spell in the Cymru Premier. Davies had previously made his name with Denbigh Town, scoring 26 league goals in 44 Cymru North appearances across two seasons, form that earned him a move to the Seagulls.
Although game time proved limited at Colwyn Bay, Davies gained valuable top-flight experience before returning to Denbigh on loan for the second half of last season. He chipped in with two goals and three assists during his loan spell and now heads to Halkyn Road looking to rediscover the form that first caught the eye.
Caernarfon Town sign Cymru Premier legend
Caernarfon Town have continued their impressive summer recruitment with the signing of veteran left-back Chris Marriott.
The experienced defender becomes the Cofis’ sixth addition ahead of the new Cymru Premier campaign and brings a wealth of top-level experience to The Oval.
Few players in Welsh football can match Marriott’s CV. A 12-time Cymru Premier champion, he has made more than 450 appearances in the top flight and featured 49 times in European competition. Best known for his highly successful spell with The New Saints, Marriott arrives in north-west Wales as one of the most decorated players in league history.
