Cymru South club Llantwit Major have been busy in the transfer market, reuniting with an EFL forward.
Title-winning boss Karl Lewis is entering his second season back with the Major, having returned following three seasons away, and is recruiting players for his squad, which can build on last season’s eighth-placed finish.
Llantwit have been adding to their squad for the upcoming 2026/27 season, which begins for them against Pure Swansea on August 1.
The latest arrival at the UWL Stadium is Adam Roscrow, who returns to the club following an extensive playing career which had early beginnings with Major and took him to the Cymru Premier with Cardiff Met before a spell with AFC Wimbledon, before coming back to Wales with various clubs, with his last being the Archers.
Ex-AFC Wimbledon striker returns to former club
Returning to the area, Roscrow brings with him an outstanding pedigree from both Welsh football and the English Football League.
The striker has made 175 appearances in the Cymru Premier, scoring 54 goals, and established himself as one of the league’s most prolific forwards before earning a move into the EFL.
He thrust himself into the limelight during an outstanding three-season spell with Cardiff Met between 2016 and 2019. He scored 35 goals in 79 Cymru Premier and European play-off appearances, playing a pivotal role in one of the most successful periods in the Archers’ history.
His most memorable moment came in the 2018 Nathaniel MG Cup final, where he scored twice in a victory over Cambrian United to secure the trophy. He also played a key part in Cardiff Met’s qualification for European competition, cementing his reputation as one of the league’s standout attacking talents.
His impressive form earned him a move to AFC Wimbledon, where he made 21 appearances across all competitions. During his time in League One, he also scored twice in the EFL Trophy, finding the net against Charlton Athletic and Brighton & Hove Albion Under-23s.

Penybont pair make switch to Llantwit Major
Llantwit Major have also completed the double signing of Jaxon Humphreys and Jack Florence from Cymru Premier side Penybont.
Humphreys arrives after a breakthrough season with Penybont, having earned several call-ups to the senior squad before making his first-team debut against Colwyn Bay in September. The 18-year-old also enjoyed an impressive campaign for the club’s Development side, scoring 10 goals and providing five assists in 29 appearances.
Florence also made the step up to senior football last season, featuring against The New Saints in October after captaining Penybont’s Development side in the FAW National Academi South Development League.
The defender was a key figure for the Development team throughout the campaign, making 30 appearances and registering one assist while gaining valuable experience in a leadership role.
The arrivals of Humphreys and Florence continue Llantwit Major’s summer recruitment, with both players joining the club after progressing through Penybont’s highly regarded development pathway and looking to make the step into regular senior football.

Llantwit Major’s transfer business to date
Elsewhere, Jack Lansdown is back at Llantwit Major, completing an emotional return to the club just over a year after announcing his retirement from football.
The goalkeeper was a key figure during one of the most successful periods in the club’s history, playing an integral role in Llantwit’s Cymru South title-winning campaign in 2022. His performances also earned him representative honours with the Wales Regions squad, underlining his reputation as one of the league’s standout goalkeepers.
After stepping away from the game last year, Lansdown now returns to familiar surroundings, bringing a wealth of experience, leadership and a winning mentality back to Windmill Lane.
Elsewhere, Kris Evans has completed a permanent return after initially joining on loan from Briton Ferry Llansawel during the winter transfer window. Llantwit have also strengthened their squad with the arrivals of Ben Symons and Jack Tiesar from Cefn Cribwr, while Dan Martin has joined from Treharris Athletic Western.
There have also been several departures this summer. Kofi Rowe has moved to Pontypridd United, Shaun Gardiner has returned to Treowen Stars, and newly promoted Caerphilly Athletic have secured the signing of Tom Walbeoff.
