Former Nottingham Forest midfielder made free agent after free transfer exit

Former Nottingham Forest midfielder Jack Nadin has been released by Cymru Premier champions The New Saints and is now a free agent.
The 21-year-old joined TNS in the summer of 2025 after leaving Nottingham Forest, having spent more than seven years at the City Ground.
Nadin was named on the bench for both legs of the Saints’ UEFA Champions League qualifying defeat by Sabah, but was subsequently de-registered from their European squad for the Conference League ties against FC Flora.
He did not feature in any of TNS’ match-day squads in the Cymru Premier this season. Nadin leaves Park Hall having made 18 appearances for the club, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
TNS head coach Craig Harrison and his coaching staff thanked the midfielder for his contribution during his time in Oswestry.
A club statement said: “Head Coach Craig Harrison and the coaching staff would like to place on record their thanks to Jack for his hard work, contribution and fantastic attitude throughout his time with the club, and wish him all the very best for the future.”
Nadin’s career at Nottingham Forest
Nadin joined The New Saints after spending his youth career with Nottingham Forest, having first linked up with the club as a teenager.
He progressed through Forest’s academy system and enjoyed a productive 2024-25 campaign, making 20 appearances for the club’s Premier League 2 side and contributing four goals and five assists.
The attacking midfielder also gained senior experience during his time at the City Ground, featuring in all three of Forest’s EFL Trophy group-stage fixtures.
Jacob Owen returns to Haverfordwest County
Meanwhile, TNS midfielder Jacob Owen has joined Haverfordwest County on a season-long loan.
The 21-year-old will return to the Bluebirds for a second spell, having previously spent two seasons at the club between 2023 and 2025.
Owen has made 13 appearances in all competitions for TNS and was part of the side which lifted the Cymru Premier title last season.
He also featured in the Saints’ UEFA Conference League second qualifying round tie against Luxembourg side Differdange in July 2025.
Haverfordwest manager Tony Pennock said he was delighted to bring Owen back to the club on the official club website.
“Everyone connected to the club will be pleased to see Jacob return on loan to The Bluebirds from The New Saints,” he said.
“Jacob was part of the side that gave us our best ever finish in the Cymru Premier, and we all hope his loan spell with us is a successful one.
“Thank you to Craig and everyone at TNS for their assistance in getting this organised prior to the transfer window closing.”
Owen said he was “absolutely delighted” to be returning to Haverfordwest.
“I really enjoyed my time here previously, and it was great to be part of a successful few seasons at the club,” he said.
“I am looking forward to working with Tony, Waggy and the boys again and seeing what we can achieve this season!”
