Cardiff Dracs complete four deadline-day signings as Nana Baah strengthens Cymru South squad

Cardiff Dracs completed a busy deadline day by bringing in four new players as manager Nana Baah continued to strengthen his Cymru South squad.
The Dracs confirmed the arrivals of Keegan Saunders, Brandon Thomas, Harry Treharne and Tomos Bodger as they added further depth and competition to their squad.
Treharne makes a return to the club after leaving earlier in the summer to join Caerau Ely, while Saunders, Thomas and Bodger arrive as new additions to Baah’s side.
The quartet could all play an important role as the Draconians look to build on last season’s campaign and compete strongly in the Cymru South.

Treharne’s return will be particularly welcomed by the Dracs after he established himself as an important member of the midfield last season.
The midfielder left the club during the summer to join Caerau Ely, but Cardiff Draconians have now managed to bring him back before the transfer deadline.
Baah admitted he was delighted to get the deal over the line.
“Extremely chuffed to have him over the line, especially on deadline day. I didn’t think it was going to happen, but good things happen and I am looking forward to working with him again.”
Cardiff Draconians add Brandon Thomas, Keegan Saunders and Tomos Bodger
Forward Brandon Thomas joins from AFC Llwydcoed and gives Baah another versatile attacking option.
Thomas can operate anywhere across the front line and was described by the Dracs boss as a player he has admired for several years.
Brandon Thomas arrives at Cardiff Draconians after making a strong start to the season with AFC Llwydcoed.
The forward scored two goals and provided an assist in five appearances for Llwydcoed this campaign, signing off with the winning goal against Canton at the weekend.
His spell with Llwydcoed was relatively brief, having joined the club during the summer following his departure from Taffs Well.
Thomas enjoyed an impressive 2025/26 campaign in the third tier, scoring 13 goals and registering four assists in 36 league appearances.
Baah to the club Instagram said:
“I’ve been a big fan of Brandon from the days where he tore my team apart when he was at Treherbert. I’m ecstatic to have him on board.”
The Draconians have also secured the loan signing of 17-year-old Keegan Saunders from Barry Town United.
The talented defender has already been involved with Barry’s first-team squad this season, earning a place on the substitutes’ bench for the Cymru Premier side.
Saunders was named among Barry’s substitutes nine times last season and also made 27 appearances in the National Academi Development League, recording one goal and four assists.
Baah believes the teenager has considerable potential and sees the move as an opportunity for Saunders to gain valuable senior experience.
“I’m really pleased to welcome Keegan. He is a player with bags of potential. He’s great with his feet and brilliant in the air. I see myself working with Keegan for a long time.”
The fourth addition is goalkeeper Tomos Bodger, who could provide competition and cover for established number one Harry Johnson.
Goalkeeper Tomos Bodger joins the Draconians after spending last season with Taffs Well, although his appearances for the Wellmen were sporadic.
Bodger was absent from the team between November and February before returning to feature towards the end of the campaign, making his final appearance for Taffs Well in May 2025.
The goalkeeper nevertheless arrives with valuable Cymru South experience, having previously played at the level with both Taffs Well and Cambrian United. His career has also included spells with Trethomas Bluebirds, AFC Porth and Caerau Ely.
Cardiff Dracs summer transfer business
The Cymru South side have strengthened across the pitch, bringing in players from Newport County, Goytre United, Caerphilly Athletic, Afan Lido, Newport City, Caerau Ely and Porthcawl Town Athletic.
Among the arrivals are Cameron Egan and Declan Rowsell from Newport County, alongside Tom McCallum from Goytre United and Rhys McCarthy from Caerphilly Athletic.
They have also added Carlos Indjai, Myles Corson, Cole Mace, Luke Gullick, Amani Babah, Cameron McDonald and Thomas Holley.
On the other side of the ledger, Marinho Manga has joined Penybont, while Dan Lewis, Jack Cooper, Harry Noaks, Liam Mallam and Sam Roberts have also left the club.
