Cardiff Met vs UNA Strassen – UEFA Youth League – live match updates
Cardiff Met will take on UNA Strassen in the UEFA Youth League, in the first round of the Domestic Champions Path, on Wednesday, 16th September (K.O. 19:45) at Cyncoed Campus.
The Archers qualified for the UEFA Youth League with a 2:1 win against Connah’s Quay Nomads in the FAW National Academi Development League Play-Off, with Charlie Keough scoring a 96th minute winner to secure Met’s victory.
Cardiff Met are the third Welsh side to participate in the UEFA Youth League after The New Saints and Haverfordwest County.
UNA Strassen secured their place in the UEFA Youth League by securing the Juniors Cl1 title in Luxembourg last season, losing just one of their 10 fixtures in the final phase of the league season. This will also be their first time in the competition.
Met will face UNA Strassen in Luxembourg on October 14th for the second leg. The winners of the two-legged match will face Norway’s Stabæk Fotball in the second round.
