Baglan Dragons defender Jordan Pike is set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering a serious injury during his side’s 1-1 draw with Pontypridd United in the Cymru South.
The 27-year-old was forced off in first-half stoppage time following a collision during Saturday’s match, with the full extent of his injuries subsequently confirmed by the club.
Pike has been a regular for the Dragons this season, making 10 appearances in all competitions and missing just one game.
The setback comes as Baglan prepare for a busy run of fixtures, including an upcoming Welsh Cup tie against Llantwit Fardre.

Baglan Dragons confirm extent of Jordan Pike injury
The club have confirmed that Pike suffered a punctured lung and two broken ribs in the collision, prompting an outpouring of support from those at Baglan as he begins his recovery.
In a statement, the club said: “Everyone at Baglan Dragons sends their love and best wishes to our first-team player Jordan Pike following an injury during Saturday’s game.
“A collision left Jordan with a punctured lung and two broken ribs, and we’re all thinking of him as he begins his recovery.
“Take all the time you need to rest and recover, Jordan.
“The whole Dragons family is behind you, and we look forward to seeing you back at the club when you’re ready.”
No return date has been confirmed, with the club making clear that Pike should take the time he needs to recover.

Defender had been regular presence for Baglan this season
Pike has featured in 10 matches across all competitions this season, missing just one game before the injury setback.
His absence will be a blow for Baglan as they continue their Cymru South campaign, with the defender having played a regular role in the first-team squad.
The club will now be hoping he makes a full recovery, with his health and wellbeing the priority as he begins his rehabilitation.
Baglan Dragons prepare for Welsh Cup tie and home fixtures
Baglan are due to travel to South Wales Premier League side Llantwit Fardre on October 17 in their next fixture.
Two divisions separate the sides ahead of the Welsh Cup clash, which will be followed by two home matches for the Dragons.
Aberystwyth Town are scheduled to visit on October 24, before Treowen Stars travel to Baglan on October 30.
The Dragons will look to negotiate the upcoming fixtures while Pike focuses on his recovery, with the club offering their full support to the defender during his time away from the pitch.
