Denbigh Town legend Nathan Brown has left the club after an outstanding spell at Central Park, having established himself as one of the most prolific goalscorers in the Reds’ recorded history.
The 28-year-old brings his time with Denbigh to an end, having made 154 appearances and scored an impressive 91 goals, placing him third in the club’s all-time recorded goalscoring charts.
Only Jake Walker, with 94 goals, and Mark Roberts, with 167, have found the net more frequently for the club.
Brown’s departure comes after he played a part in Denbigh’s latest victory, registering an assist in what proved to be his final appearance in a Reds shirt.
Coming off the bench, he supplied Findlay Starkey-Jones for the match-winning goal, although the contest was not without late drama as Gwydion Ifan struck in the 95th minute for Llanuwchllyn to set up a grandstand finish.

Nathan Brown leaves Denbigh Town with an impressive goalscoring record
Brown departs Central Park with his name firmly established in Denbigh Town’s history, having been a consistent attacking threat throughout his time at the club.
His tally of 91 goals from 154 appearances places him third in the Reds’ all-time recorded scoring rankings, an achievement which underlines the impact he has made during his spell in North Wales.
The forward has also contributed three assists and two goals in 10 appearances across all competitions this season.
He began the campaign wearing the captain’s armband, leading the side during their opening seven matches.
However, following the departure of Dewi Llion and the appointment of Eddie Maurice-Jones, the captaincy was handed to Ben Lockley.
Key role in Denbigh Town’s promotion-winning campaign
One of Brown’s standout periods at Central Park came during the 2022/23 campaign, when he played an instrumental role in a memorable season for the Reds.
Denbigh secured promotion to the Cymru North after winning the Ardal North West, while also lifting the Lock Stock Ardal Northern League Cup.
Brown was an important figure in that successful campaign, helping the club achieve its ambitions and establish itself back in the second tier of Welsh domestic football.

Where could Nathan Brown go next?
At 28, Brown is now free to join a club outside the Cymru Leagues, with the possibility of an immediate move elsewhere, should an Ardal North side take an interest.
However, should he wish to join another side within the Cymru Leagues, he would have to wait until January, with the current registration period closed.
His impressive record of 91 goals in 154 appearances is likely to attract interest, particularly given his experience and proven ability at this level of Welsh football.
Denbigh Town have also paid tribute to the departing forward, acknowledging the contribution he has made throughout his time at Central Park.
A club statement read: “Everyone at Denbigh Town Football Club would like to place on record their sincere thanks to Nathan for his outstanding contribution, commitment and efforts during his time with the Reds.
“Nathan leaves Central Park with his name firmly etched into the club’s history, and we wish him every success in the next chapter of his career.”
