Cyncoed Ladies duo Laura O’Sullivan and Gwen Davies have been joined by Swansea City Ladies defender Ellie Lake in the latest Wales Squad for the upcoming Cyprus Cup.
The tournament which will be played over six days, where Wales will test themselves against Finland, Italy and Switzerland in a four-team group, with a possibility of reaching the knockout stages.
O’Sullivan made a crucial penalty save in Wales recent qualifier with Bosnia & Herzegovina, as she helped the Wales Women to a narrow 1-0 away win.
The 26-year-old had played for Cardiff City Ladies for six years, before moving to Yeovil Town Ladies back in September 2017.
However, she later made the move to Cyncoed Ladies, where she made her first appearance for the club back in December. She has played six times altogether, including wins over Swansea City Ladies and Rhyl Ladies in the Women’s Cup and League Cup.
Davies, who like Lake and O’Sullivan, has played for Cardiff City Ladies, has been pivotal to Cyncoed Ladies this season. In her thirteen appearances, she has scored eight goals for the Mighty Oaks. In those games, she picked up a Player of the Match award.

Lake was a summer signing for Swansea City Ladies from Cardiff City and has since impressed for Ian Owen’s side, with a handful of assists this season.
On calling up Swansea City youngster Ellie Lake, Ludlow was full of praise for the midfielder. “Ellie’s a really nice kid who’s lovely to work with.”
“We have a lot of work still to do. There is an air of confidence that we haven’t had before, but we’re learning as a team,” said Ludlow in her press conference, where she announced the squad.
