Llanelli Town have added to their back line with the additions of Merthyr Town centre-back Scott Tancock and Penybont wing-back James Parry.
Tancock is a former Wales U21 defender and has had Football League and Vanarama National League experience with Newport County and Wrexham respectively.
He had been at Penydarren Park for three years, after being released by Swansea City, where he initially had a trial period at Torquay United, before joining the Martyrs.
“We’re really pleased to have signed Scott, he’s one of the best centre-backs around,” said manager Andy Hill on the signing of Tancock.
We’re all looking forward to working with him and I’m sure he’s gonna be a massive asset for us in achieving our goals this season.”
Parry said to LlanelliTownAFC.co.uk: “I’m looking forward to the new challenge and being back in the Welsh Premier with a great club and also playing under Andy Hill and his coaching team.”
The former Port Talbot Town man was one of manager Andy Hill’s key targets, as he assembles a squad aiming to remain in the Welsh Premier League this season.
The 23-year-old made 43 appearances with the Steelmen during a two-year spell at Victoria Road.
Llanelli Town boss Andy Hill said: James was one of our main summer targets and we are pleased to finally get him on board, James will add experience and quality to the squad for the oncoming season in the WPL.”
The pair were on the team sheet as Llanelli Town lost 2-0 away to Welsh League side Cambrian & Clydach Vale. The club say that they are hopeful of adding one more face ahead of their season opener against the Connah’s Quay Nomads on Sunday 12th August.
