Llandudno make generous offer to home supporters after poor start

Welsh Premier League side Llandudno have offered free entry to home supporters, for Friday night’s game with the Cefn Druids.

The goodwill gesture means fans will be able to attend the game at Maesdu Park free of charge.

They welcome Cefn Druids, who are just three points better off than them, despite finishing in the top six last season.

A statement on LlandudnoFC.co.uk says: “The players are appreciative of the support we have received to date but we recognise that as a club, we should be in a better position than we are today.

As a token of our appreciation to the fans for sticking by us as we continue to fight we are funding a free gate for the home supporters tomorrow night against Cefn Druids.

We are in this together and we want to put things right.”

Ian Williams’ side have been on a barren spell of form, which sees them just outside the relegation zone on goal difference.

Llandudno have won just one home game this season, as well as suffering defeat to bottom-placed Llanelli Town.

Their last league win came over a month ago away at Cardiff Metropolitan, since then they’ve suffered heavy defeats to Connah’s Quay and The New Saints.

They are however in the Quarter-Finals of the Nathaniel MG Cup, as they welcome The New Saints next Tuesday.
