Haverfordwest County released a statement confirming the departure of Williams: ”
‘Haverfordwest County AFC can today confirm that Danny Williams has agreed to sign a professional contract and join Cardiff City FC for an undisclosed fee.
Whilst we are extremely disappointed to lose a player of such quality, it was inevitable that Danny would move on within the game and the Board of Directors and Management Team have always expressed that they would never stand in the way of a player pursuing a career at a higher level.
We would like to thank Danny for his time here and wish him every success for the future as a professional footballer with his new Premier League Club.”
The midfielder previously captained the Welsh Colleges side and played for Wales at Under-18s level. His previous Welsh League experience game with Goytre United and Pontardawe Town.
