Caernarfon Town: Huw Griffiths adds three new players to squad

Caernarfon Town have signed three new players ahead of the 2020/21 season.

Asa Hamilton, Jack Fleming and Tyler French have all committed to the Cymru Premier club for the new campaign.

They join Cai Jones, Cory Williams, Iddon Price, Josh Tibbetts and Mike Hayes, who have all joined the Cymru Premier club this summer.

Heading up the new signing’s is left-back Jack Fleming.

Fleming joins from English non-league side Burscough where during Huw Griffiths’ time as manager of the Cefn Druids, he was a transfer target for the current Canaries boss.

The 21-year-old is a Tranmere Rovers academy product and played for Norwich Victoria and Skelmersdale after departing Prenton Park.

Fleming could be seen as a replacement for departing Nathan Craig, who announced earlier he was leaving The Oval for a new challenge.

Also moving to Caernarfon is forward Asa Hamilton who joins the club having last played for Oswestry Town.

The 28-year-old joined the tenth tier club after leaving Rhyl in November.

Hamilton’s previous top flight experience was six appearances for Airbus UK in the 2010/11 season.

His last success at second tier level was scoring 13 goals in 25 appearances as he helped Airbus UK Broughton to the Cymru Alliance title in his second spell at the Airfield.

Prior to a second spell at Airbus and then Rhyl, Hamilton played for Buckley Town, Guilsfield, Penycae and Porthmadog.

To top off a day of three arrivals and one departure, goalkeeper Tyler French joins from Llangefni Town.

His other clubs include Barmouth, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Holywell Town, Penrhyndeudraeth and Porthmadog.

French will provide competition for fellow summer recruit Josh Tibbets who joined from Bala Town.
