Ardal Leagues launched by the FAW

The Football Association of Wales have today announced the launch of the Ardal Leagues.

Operating at the third tier of Welsh football, the Ardal Leagues contain four divisions and are feeder leagues to the Cymru Leagues.

They include the North East and North West in the Ardal Northern and South East and West in the Ardal Southern.

The word Ardal translates to ‘Region in Cymraeg and represents the four divisions which consist of 16 teams in each.

Both the Northern and Southern region have their own sponsors.

The two Northern divisions will be sponsored by Lock Stock, a family run business that is the largest self-storage company in the UK.

They had previously sponsored the Welsh Alliance League at the same level of the pyramid.

In the South, Floodlighting and Electrical Services will sponsor the South East and Western leagues.

Further branding of the leagues sees a daffodil as its brand logo. It is expected that teams competing in the four divisions will have this competition on their sleeves.
