Caerwys boss Jordan Hadaway has staked a claim in possibly becoming the youngest senior manager in the British football.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hadaway, 18, has taken temporary charge of Caerwys, taking over from Ethan Jones<\/a>. He worked alongside Jones in the North East Wales League.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Caerwys follow in the footsteps of fellow Welsh club Dolgellau Athletic in appointing a youthful manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dave Webber<\/a> – a second-year human geography student at the time – was 19 when he took the reins of the Mid Wales League in 2012. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wales also possess the youngest ever top-flight manager, following Rhyl\u2019s appointment of then 24-year-old Niall McGuinness<\/a> in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking to Grassroots North Wales<\/a>, Hadaway spoke of his landmark appointment: \u201cIt feels great if I\u2019m honest but I have worked hard to get to this point so here is my chance.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWith the title of youngest-ever that makes me feel honoured and it will make me more determined to get us back up the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hadaway\u2019s age has not been a deterrent in commanding respect from experienced players, the 18-year-old believes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen I get into the changing rooms or on the training ground I am confident and give it 100%. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think throughout my playing days I was always a leader on the pitch, guided and organising the team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy main strength, in my opinion, is motivating people and keeping them going right until the end and as I progress and learn more I can only become more confident.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hadaway will begin his reign away at Borras Park Albion on December 7. Caerwys are currently third from bottom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
