Rhayader Town have signed three players from Llandrindod Wells ahead of the 2016/17 season as they prepare to challenge for the Spar MidWales League Division 1 title this coming campaign.
The Mid Wales outfit have added Ashley Jones, Joe Prosser and Tom Bothell to their squad for the new season, with the trio all arriving from Spar MidWales League Division 1 outfit Llandrindod.
Bethell is a former Rhayader player, having developed and plied his trade with the Huws Gray Alliance side’s youth academy and junior sides. The midfielder possesses great energy and his hard work is bound to go down well with the Rhayader faithful in the coming season.
Jones, another midfielder, has been a long time target of Rhayader’s and was arguably one of the best players in Spar MidWales League Division 1 last season for Wells. The management team of Gareth Hughes and Jason Samuel will be delighted to have finally secured the services of their target.
Prosser joins the club as a direct replacement for goalkeeper Luke Evans, who departed the club for Caersws this summer. Recognised for his brilliant shot stopping skills and command of the defence, he is set to be the club’s number one goalkeeper for the coming season.
The club have stated that it shows their ambition to be real contenders in the league this season and are delighted with their latest signings who can help them achieve this aim.
