Welsh Football Magazine publishes silver jubilee edition

The current edition of Welsh Football magazine celebrates twenty-five years of publishing the national football magazine of Wales.

Founded as a fanzine in late 1991, the very first issue of the magazine hit the streets in January 1992 and, now the 194th issue looks back over the quarter century of independent publishing.

While the latest issue contains some reflections on the early days, and the development of the title, plus a few tributes – one reader even producing a celebration of the milestone in verse – there’s also plenty of the magazine’s usual mixture of features, comment and analysis.

Clubs profiled in this edition are Borth United, Bishops Castle Town and Vale United, while two Dafabet Welsh Premier League clubs are also featured – with a look at the impact of university club Cardiff Met on the national league, plus an examination of attitudes to runaway leaders The New Saints, asking whether the treble-winning Saints get the recognition they deserve.

As always, the magazine is available at independent bookshops in Wales, certain club shops, and by post (details at www.welsh-football.net/publication-dates)
