Ex-Swansea City legend Lee Trundle has been in astonishing form this season as his Llanelli side lie top of the Welsh League Division Two table.
The former Swans star, aged 40, has scored double the amount of times in which he has played so far this season – an extraordinary 40 goals in 20 appearances.
It’s his goals which have been key to Llanelli sitting at the top of the Welsh League Division Two table, and they currently lead the division by a total of six points, with Briton Ferry sitting in second place.
Trundle, who made 146 appearances for Swansea between 2003 and 2007, scoring on 78 occasions has 40 of Llanelli’s 80 goals so far this season, and it’s put them in a fantastic position to obtain promotion to the Welsh League Division One.
Whether Trundle will remain with Llanelli next season, or hang up his boots for good remains to be seen, but there is no doubt the striker still has it. He’s a class apart in the Welsh League Division Two, and if he can replicate his goal-scoring form next season it could see Llanelli top the Welsh League Division One as well.
