TNS starlet on trial at English Premier League club

The New Saints’s first team defender Ryan Pryce has gone on trial with promoted club Middlesbrough.

Middlesbrough, who are currently without a permanent manager have gone first in having a look at the Telford born defender, as Premier League rivals Sunderland and Stoke City also have an interest in the player according to HITC Sports.

Pryce, who is described as a versatile young full back broke into Craig Harrison’s side back in the first half of the 2014/2015 season and has since gone on to win two Welsh Premier League titles, two Welsh Cups and two Welsh Premier League Cups at the young tender age of just 19.

This would not be the first time that a Welsh Premier League player would make the move to the top two English leagues, with on-loan Bangor City defender Jordan Davies making the move to Premier League hopefuls Brighton & Hove Albion back in January.

He will spend a total of one week, receiving coaching from the Middlesbrough setup as he himself decides if Middlesbrough is the next club for him.
