Buckley Town have announced the permanent appointment of Dan Moore as first team manager.
Moore, alongside new assistant Alan Edwards, has been in the hot seat since previous boss Terry Ingram was struck down with illness, but was unable to prevent the club slipping out of the Huws Gray Alliance this season, with Town picking up eight points from their last seven games.
A 6-0 defeat to Caernarfon Town on the final day saw the Trotters finish a difficult campaign bottom of the league, but Moore and Edwards have nevertheless both been entrusted to lead the club’s promotion push next season.
The pair will begin their permanent stint by taking charge of Wednesday’s NEWFA Cup semi-final game against Gresford Athletic.
Chairman Allan Botterell told the club’s official website: “Dan’s skills as a coach and the high regard in which he is held by players and everyone at the Club is something which we want to build on. We are sure the club and team will be in good hands as he has the best interests of the club at heart.
“Dan has initiated the type of response that we hoped he would bring, showing great leadership qualities and composure.
“Dan joined Buckley Town’s coaching staff at the beginning of this current season as assistant manager and coach and fits very well with Buckley Town’s vision for football in community.”
