2017/18 Welsh Premier League Fixtures Announced

The Welsh Premier League has unveiled the fixture list for phase one of the 2017/18 campaign this afternoon. 

The league’s opening games, taking place on 11 August, feature a number of high profile games and a new online initiatives.

In partnership with S4C, a number of games will be shown on Facebook Live on Thursday nights during the season. The first two confirmed matches will feature Llandudno v Prestatyn (7/9/17) and Barry Town United v Carmarthen Town (21/9/17).

In a first for the league, fans will be able to download the fixtures straight to their calendar on their phone or computer.

Newly promoted Barry Town will return to the top flight on Sunday 13 August with a home game against Aberystwyth Town live on S4C, whilst Prestatyn Town will face North East Wales rivals Connah’s Quay Nomads.

Bangor City will have their high aspirations put to the test straight away with a home game against The New Saints on 11 August.

The two Saturday games of the opening weekend pit Cardiff Met against Druids and Llandudno vs Carmarthen.
