Cardiff City’s Cardiff City Stadium and Swansea City’s Liberty Stadium will be the venues for the FAW Women’s Cup and FAW Youth Cup Final.
Both finals will be contested between Cardiff City and Swansea City, who have reached the finals in the respective competitions.
The first final is the FAW Women’s Cup Final which will be played next Sunday, with a 3 pm kick off at the Cardiff City Stadium. Despite being under the Cardiff City banner, the women’s side usually plays across the road at Leckwith Stadium.
Cardiff City overcame city rivals Cyncoed Ladies to reach the final, whilst Swansea City saw off Port Talbot Town in a convincing win for the Swans. It’s a repeat of 2015 final in which Swansea City Ladies came out victorious in a 4-2 victory.
Cyncoed Ladies have already won the first piece of silverware in the Welsh Women’s game, by beating WPWL leaders Cardiff Metropolitan University.
The Women’s Cup final is part of a doubleheader, with Barry Town United and Villa Dino Christchurch contesting the U16 Girls Cup Final, across the road at Leckwith Stadium.
Admission for the Women’s Cup Final is Adults – £4, Juniors/OAPS – £1.
The Youth Cup final will be played at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday, 1st May with a 19:30 kick-off for the young Bluebirds and Swans.
Cardiff City reached the Final by beating Airbus UK 6-0, whilst Swansea City beat Welsh Premier League side Connah’s Quay Nomads U19’s 4-0 to reach the final, with both games being played at Newtown’s Latham Park.
Swansea City will be hopeful of retaining the FAW Youth Cup, after beating Cambrian & Clydach BGC after extra time in last years final.
