Welsh Football League new boys Penydarren Boys & Girls Club have signed experienced South Wales Alliance League duo Alexander Long and Stephen Price.
Forward Long joins from Sully Sports, whilst experienced goalkeeper Stephen Price joins from Brecon Corries, who he captained.
The pair were involved in this summers UEFA Regions Cup, which saw Wales qualify for the next round, after finishing second behind the Amateurs of Macedonia.
Long was on the scoresheet in South Wales’ 4-0 win over Evia. He was previously on the books of Merthyr Town before and scored 26 goals in 26 appearances for Sully Sports in the 2017/2018 campaign.
Price was captain, appeared in all three games, picking up three clean sheets. The 37-year-old has been involved with the South Wales FA team for the last seven years.
During eight seasons with Brecon Corries, Prince won the South Wales Senior League Division Two title, before finishing 5th twice and 6th in last season’s campaign with the Corinthians. He previously had spells with Hay St. Mary’s and SennyBridge FC.
“Tough decision this week to vacate the Richfield… amazing memories over the past 8 years,” said the departing Price.
Time for a change and would like to thank everyone at Brecon Corries and wish you all the best this season.”
Both players made their debuts against Welsh League Division One side Afan Lido, Kerry Mullins’ men won 5-1 at The Bont Playing Fields.
Newport County youngster Joshua Williams has also joined the club. Williams had a scholarship with Newport County, after a number of years with Swansea City. He can play across the midfield and up front.
