Welsh Premier League outfit Aberystwyth Town have added experienced top flight attacking midfielder Ryan Edwards to their squad ahead of the 2018/19 season.
The Mid Wales outfit have strengthened their side ahead of the coming season, and Director of Football Neville Powell will undoubtedly be delighted to add the experience of Edwards to his ranks ahead of the start of the new campaign.
Edwards will be a familiar face to Welsh football fans having amassed a wealth of experience in the Welsh domestic system. The playmaker came through the Connah’s Quay Nomads academy system and made his full debut for the club in 2012-13 against Rhyl.
The 24 year-old made a total of 23 appearances for Nomads, before making the switch to JD Welsh Premier League champions TNS in January 2014.
Edwards spent three years at the club, and despite his involvement in helping the Oswestry based side in breaking the world record for consecutive wins, he departed the club for Bala Town in January 2017.
But, at the end of the season, after time at Bala and a period on loan at Airbus, the player departed for Llandudno, for whom he made 14 appearances last term.
However, he has now linked up with Powell’s side for the forthcoming season, as Aberystwyth look to build upon the solid foundations put in place by Powell and Seamus Heath.
