Nantwich forward Jordan Davies could be about to cross the Denbighshire divide, by joining Cymru Alliance League side Rhyl.
The Lilywhites are awaiting international clearance after Davies spent a season and a quarter with tier seven English club Nantwich.
Dean Jones of the Rhyl Journal say they’re just awaiting the English FA to rubber-stamp the deal, which will see him pen a deal with Rhyl.
Davies’ goals helped Prestatyn Town to the Huws Gray Alliance League title back in 2016/2017, scoring 27 goals. The Seasiders were relegated after just one season in the top flight.
The young forward left the Bastion Gardens club before the season had ended and was linked with a move to the Connah’s Quay Nomads. He eventually ended up at The Weaver Stadium.
Last season, Davies played a total of 11 times in the league, scoring two goals for Nantwich. He later moved to Sandbach, who play in the ninth tier of English football.
Davies is also a Welsh Futsal player and was on the scoresheet yesterday as Wales Development side beat England U23’s at St George’s Park.
Rhyl suffered a disappointing defeat to Conwy Borough on Friday and are currently on a two-game losing streak. They’re next in action, at home to Flint Town United, who are managed by former Rhyl boss Niall McGuinness.
They currently sit ninth in the Huws Gray Alliance League table, with three wins, three defeats and one draw.
