The South Wales FA are in search of a new manager, following the departure of Stephen Green, who has stood down from his role.
After eight years in the role, where he oversaw his side progress to the Intermediate Round this year, as well as managing in San Marino, Green has stood down.
A statement from the South Wales FA read: “The South Wales FA would like to thank Steve for all his work in developing the team and the great progress we have made under his tenure.
We will be considering the appointment of a new manager shortly.”
Green initially wanted to leave his role after guiding the South Wales FA to the next round of the UEFA Regions Cup but was persuaded to take the team to Bulgaria.
In their time in Bulgaria, the South Wales FA lost to third-placed Turkey 6-2, before losing 5-2 to a Bulgaria select side, they did, however, end on a high note, beating a Belarusian side 3-1.
Their performance in the UEFA Regions Cup Intermediate Round could see their coefficient grow, as they hope for direct entry, rather than qualifying.
The FAW Regions Cup is due to begin in January 2019, where they will play four matches, against a Gwent FA select and a West Wales FA.
The Gwent FA recently appointed Cwmbran Celtic management duo Lee Challenger and Nana Baah.
The South Wales FA beat the North Wales Coast FA in April, to represent the Football Association of Wales, in the UEFA Regions Cup. They have won the last two FAW Regions Cups.
Wales finished second of their Qualifying Round group, having hosted it, winning two games out of three.
Applicants have until 7pm on the 5th November. Those interested should have at least a FAW C Licence coaching certificate.
“The Association would invite anyone interested in applying to succeed him to submit their interest to the Association Secretary via email to secretary@southwalesfa.co.uk.”
The South Wales FA Regions Cup team should have a good working knowledge of the South Wales Alliance League Premier Division and the Welsh Football League Division Three.
