Welsh Premier League side Cefn Druids have signed forward Jack Kenny from the Connah’s Quay Nomads.
The LeaderLive said that the Druids fought off competition to secure the signature of the forward.
Speaking to LeaderLive.co.uk, Huw Griffiths said: “It’s a really good signing,”
“He’s a good age, he’s a teacher – so he’s a leader – and he’s got a fantastic work rate and a fantastic work ethic.
“He’s different to what we’ve got in that he will give us that little bit more physicality in attack.”
Kenny is the second forward to join the Ancients in the January transfer window following the addition of Llandudno striker John Owen.
Signed from Prestatyn Town in the summer after the Nomads Welsh Cup win, Kenny made just seven starts and six substitute appearances for the Nomads during his time at the Deeside Stadium. He scored just once.
Speaking to the-nomads.co.uk, Andy Morrison wished Kenny well with his new club.
“We wish Jack all the best – he was a pleasure to work with. Jack could have taken the easy option, stayed and sat and waited for a chance to play, but he has shown the desire to go and play football regularly and I have to respect that.”
Jack left a message to the club saying; “I wish the club all the best for the season and I really hope you go on and win the league. They are a top bunch of lads and I hope to be playing with some of them again in the future.”
