The New Saints have signed Cardiff City defender Jack Bodenham on a six-month loan until the rest of the season.
The 19-year-old defender is the first January signing for the reigning Welsh Premier League Champions, who currently sit third in the table.
Bodenham could be seen as a direct replacement for Ben Cabango, who left The New Saints following the expiration of his loan from Swansea City, earlier this month.
Speaking to tnsfc.co.uk, Ruscoe said “We are pleased to have completed the loan signing of Jack Bodenham from Cardiff City. He’s an excellent addition to the squad until the end of the season.
A composed defender, he is comfortable in possession and will benefit from first-team football at the age of 19.”
He was signed by Cardiff City two years ago having been involved at the clubs Advanced Development Centre in Newport from the U14 age group.
This season, Bodenham has made 13 appearances in the PDL2 for the Cardiff City U23’s side.
He has represented his country (Wales) at numerous youth levels. Bodenham represented Wales U19 in October 2017 against Switzerland, alongside Barry Town United loanee Momodou Touray.
Bodenham is eligible to play in the JD Welsh Premier League and the JD Welsh Cup, with still eleven league fixtures to play this season.
He could be in line to make his Welsh Premier League debut tomorrow in The New Saints final game of Phase One, at home against Llanelli Town tomorrow evening.
