Welsh Premier League Llandudno have confirmed the additions of Bangor City duo Sameron Dool and Yalany Baio.
The Citizens pair were free to leave the Gwynedd club yesterday as the Cymru Alliance side aim to trim their wage bill, following a cost-cutting exercise.
It’s Llandudno’s fourth and fifth signings of the window, following the previous editions of legendary forward Les Davies, Ryan Wade and Tom Owens.
Baio played his final fixture for the club on Saturday in Bangor City’s narrow 2-1 defeat to Gwynedd rivals Caernarfon Town in the JD Welsh Cup. Dool was named as an unused substitute in that match.
The 24-year-old midfielder had previously been playing in Gibraltar with Michael Salgado’s Gibraltar United before returning to the Gwynedd for his second spell with the club.
Baio was part of the Citizens side which won Europa League qualification in the 2016/2017 season.
He began his career with Sporting Lisbon before moving to English giants Liverpool where he spent three years in their reserve and youth sides. He then had experience in playing for Dutch side Sporta Rotterdam. Baio is a Portugese U18’s international.
Llandudno play Aberystwyth Town in the first Phase Two game of the JD Welsh Premier League, following the postponement of Bala Town vs The New Saints due to snow.
