Caernarfon Town have added signed FAW Championship duo Gruff John Williams and Sam Jones.
Both arrive from Caernarfon’s Gwynedd rivals Bangor City and Porthmadog. Gruff joins from Porthmadog, whilst Sam Jones is a signing from Bangor.
Gruff returns to Caernarfon, having spent time as a youth player with the Cofis.
19-year-old Sam Jones was prolific at youth level for Bangor, having scored over 40 goals for the Under-19s side. He has since made the step up to the first team.
Speaking to CaernarfonTownFC.co.uk, assistant manger Sean Eardley said: “I’m delighted that we’ve brought Gruff and Sam to the club. They’re two very good signings and very good players I’m really looking forward to working with.
“Gruff works hard and the times I’ve seen him play this year he has been very consistent and he’ll offer us a lot of versatility across the back and also gives us a midfield option.
“One of the things that struck me about Sam last year is that he plays with no fear. I saw him three or four times last season, including the game against us, and he’s an absolute pest really, very hard to deal with and works hard, which I’m sure the Cofi Army will appreciate.
“They are both very good additions to us and will add a lot of competition for places, which will be healthy. Pre-season starts in a couple of weeks and I’m really looking forward to working with both of them.”
Mike Pearson was Caernarfon’s first signing of the summer. He arrived at The Oval last week from Llandudno.
