Wrexham’s Racecourse Ground to host New Saints’ European tie

Wrexham’s Racecourse Ground will host The New Saints’ Europa League qualifier with Ludogorets Razgrad.

TNS will play at Stadium Ludogorets Arena next Thursday, before making the trip to Wrexham for their game leg on the 15th August.

Ludogorets were 4-0 winners over Icelandic side Valur this evening, winning 5-1 on aggregate. The New Saints dropped into the Europa League following their elimination by FC København.

Due to UEFA regulations, The New Saints have to play at a higher capacity stadium than Park Hall.

TNS last played a European fixture at the Racecourse Ground in 2013 when they lost 3-1 to Polish champions Legia Warsaw.

Last year, TNS had to play their Europa League qualifier against FC Midtjylland at the Cardiff City Stadium

The game will kick off at 18:30, with tickets priced at £10 for General Sale.

TNS’ opening game of the Cymru Premier season against Caernarfon Town, scheduled for the 16th August, will now be moved.
