Allan Bickerstaff: Caernarfon Town boss stands down as manager

Allan Bickerstaff has stepped down as boss of Cymru Premier side Caernarfon Town, ending his brief reign.

Work commitments has been cited as the reason for his resignation.

The UEFA Pro Licence holder joined in April, taking over from Sean Eardley.

In his three games in charge of the Canaries, he lost each one, including a play-off semi-final defeat to Cardiff Metropolitan.

“After a short but thoroughly enjoyable time at Caernarfon Town FC, due to personal and professional demands on my time,” he said.

“I am not in a position to fulfill my initial plans, which was to enable this fantastic club to take the next step forward to again becoming a major force in Welsh Football.

“Everybody at the club have made me extremely welcome and have been thoroughly supportive in all aspects.”

Sean Eardley will now resume his role as first-team manager of Caernarfon, with Richard Davies assisting him.
