Cefn Druids have announced a partnership with Portuguese side Portimonense.
The deal will begin in the near year and has been brokered by Druids director Jamie Digwood.
It will allow the Druids to develop players for the future for the Primeira Liga club.
Players could be loaned to the Druids to increase their playing time with the Druids highlighted as a place to breed young talent.
“Portimonense Sporting Club is proud to announce that it is has formed a working partnership with Cefn Druids FC, Wales’s oldest football club,” said a club statement.
“The purpose of the partnership is to formalise the cooperation between the two clubs in order to collaborate in the training process of their young soccer players and their coaches”.

Their academy has produced the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Portugal star João Moutinho.
Portimonense are currently 16th in the Portuguese top division.
