Bala Town stalwart Stuart Jones will be leaving Maes Tegid for pastures new, the club has revealed.
The defender spent nine years with the Lakesiders, and leaves as one of the club’s most decorated players.
The 33-year-old featured in numerous Europa League games for the club, and played an instrumental part of Bala’s play-off final victory against Port Talbot Town in 2013.
He was also part of the Bala team that won the Welsh Cup for the first time in their history in the 2016-17 season.

Having made over 250 appearances for the Lakesiders, Jones also notched 19 goals in the black and white shirt.

Colin Caton, the Bala Town manager, lauded the service Jones has given to the club, saying: “I’m sad that Stuart’s time with us has come to an end and I wish him all the best.
“Stuart is the last member of the Port Talbot Playoff Final squad that’s been with us, he’s been a great servant to the club – his attitude, his approach, determination, everything that he’s given us has been fantastic.
“I can’t thank him enough for his desire and his work-rate that he’s given to Bala Town over the years, he’s such a good lad and one of those I’ll keep in touch with.
“I’ve got nothing but good things to say about him and we wish him well on his next part of his career. Stuart’s been with us for 9 seasons’, so I hope it goes well for him on his next move and thank him for everything that he’s done.”
