James Saddler has made the move to Pontypridd Town after departing Penybont.
The 28-year-old becomes Pontypridd’s second signing of the summer after the Cymru South side signed Jordan Carey.
Saddler drops down a division after spending last season at Penybont where he made 23 league appearances.
“I’m delighted to join Pontypridd Town ahead of the 2020/21 season,” said Saddler.
“The club is very ambitious and the facilities are second to none which was a major attraction for me.
“I’m looking forward to working with JJ, the coaching staff and players when it is safe to return to training.
“The Cymru South is shaping up to be tougher than ever this season but hopefully, with a lot of hard work, we can have a successful season together.”
Having spent eight years at Barry Town United, Saddler had multiple success with the Vale of Glamorgan outfit and won the Welsh League title during their revival.
The versatile midfielder also was part of the Penybont side which went the entire league campaign unbeaten.
Commenting on the arrival of the former Barry captain, manager Jonathan Jones said: “James certainly adds quality to our squad.
“He has experience of winning the Cymru South division on two occasions, with Barry Town & Penybont.
“He brings leadership skills and I’m sure he will settle quickly into our group as he already knows a number of our players.”
In addition to Saddler’s arrival, Dave Vincent, Josh Maksimovic, Lewis Ellis, Morgan Davies and Ryan Batley have all committed to the club for the upcoming season.
However Liam Shaw will be departing the Dragons for pastures new.
