Mid Wales League outfit Llansantffraid have signalled their intent by signing midfielder Craig Williams.
Williams returns to senior football after spending last season as a free agent after leaving Penrhyncoch.
The 37-year-old brings a vast amount of top-flight experience to Treflan, having played more than 300 times in the Cymru Premier.
During a long playing spell in Wales’ top tier, he won the Cymru Premier with both Llanelli and The New Saints.
In his three-years with TNS, he also won the Welsh Cup and had played in Europe.
He last played in the league in February 2018 with Newtown but has since played in the lower leagues.
Williams and the Powys-based club are gearing up for the star of the Mid Wales League East Division after suffering relegation last season.
The Treflan based club are managed by Graham Evans, a former manager of Llanrhaeadr.
In another addition to the first-team squad, Evans added Lee Green, who will take up the role as player-coach.
Joe Makinson also provided Evans with a boost after returning from Llanrhaeadr.
Other signings this summer include Dan Hindley and Ryan Broadbent, both of which joined from Llanrhaeadr too.
