Bala Town have added further strength to their squad with the addition of former Wigan Athletic star Gary Roberts.
Returning to Maes Tegid after seventeen seasons away, the 36 year old winger last represented the Lakesiders when they were in the Welsh National League on ‘second-forms’ from Welshpool back in 2003.
The Liverpudlian joined the Club initially in the first season of Colin Caton’s leadership and returns to Bala Town after departing from Wigan Athletic where he spent three years at the DW Stadium – being named as a substitute in tonight’s Cymru Premier fixture v Newtown.
Roberts’ career has seen him represent Accrington Stanley, Ipswich Town, Crewe Alexandra, Huddersfield Town, Swindon, Chesterfield, Portsmouth and Wigan with over 500 career appearances in the Football League and numerous Wembley appearances in various competitions.
