Alec Mudimu has signed for Turkish side Ankaraspor who play in TFF First League, the second tier of Turkish football.
The Zimbabwe international spent three years at The Rock and featured in the Europa League for The Ancients following a play-off victory over Cardiff Met.
The midfielder made his international debut for Zimbabwe while at the club and has since represented his country in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Mudimu, who can slot in an array of positions for his new side, begun his youth career at Sheffield Wednesday where he played for the youth team before joining Stalybridge Celtic where he made his senior debut.
He made an emotional farewell to the club he grew fondly of towards the end of 2019 when he left Cefn Druids to sign for Moldovan champions at the time FC Sherriff.
The former Ancient would go on to feature in the Champions League for FC Sherriff. But has found game time hard to come by in Moldova having only made six appearances in the 2020 season.
The 25-year-old was sent home to the United Kingdom from Moldova at the beginning of December following the cancellation of the Moldovan league due to COVID-19.
Mudimu will be hoping to bolster his new side in their battle against relegation as they currently sit second from bottom.
