Wales players warm up at the Racecourse Ground

Wrexham have loaned out first-year professionals Jake Bickerstaff and Max Cleworth to Caernarfon Town.

Max Cleworth, 18, and Jake Bickerstaff, 19, will stay with the Canaries until the end of the season.

Bickerstaff is a striker, who was previously on the books of Liverpool, meanwhile Cleworth is a defender, who played for Connah’s Quay in his junior football days.

Liverpudlian Bickerstaff, has played five times in the league this season for Dean Keates’ side.

Last season, he played and scored against Ayr United in the Scottish Challenge Cup for Wrexham.

Cleworth, a centre-back, has been an unused substitute in the league for Wrexham on two occasions this season. He did however play the full match in their defeat to Leamington in the FA Trophy.

“Thank you for the welcome and looking forward to getting started soon,” said Cleworth in a social media post on his arrival at The Oval.

In a short statement, Wrexham said: “We would like to wish Max and Jake all the best for their loan move, and wish the Cofis well for the rest of the season.”

The loan duo are the second piece of business Caernarfon have conducted today following the return of former captain Nathan Craig.
