Connah’s Quay snap up winger Jamie Mullan from rivals New Saints

Connah’s Quay have made their first addition of the summer by adding Jamie Mullan from title rivals The New Saints.

The 33-year-old moves on from Park Hall after eight years with the Oswestry side, becoming yet another player to cross the divide from Shropshire to Deeside after Aeron Edwards moved there last summer. Danny Holmes and Mike Wilde also turned out for both clubs.

He arrives at Deeside Stadium having made 24 league appearances for the Saints last season where he created six goals.

Mullan had previously worked with manager Andy Morrison during their time at English non-league outfit Northwich Victoria.

“I’ve worked with Jamie before, so I know what he brings to the table –  for me, he is still the best winger in the league,” said Morrison on the Nomads’ newest recruit.

Our training methods, sports science, and demands will mean, like those before him, he will improve and have many successful years ahead of him.

It’s difficult to find footballers who improve your squad – at Connah’s Quay, we have shown so many times that an experienced player with a point to prove is a fantastic addition.

Mullan will be available to play in the UEFA Champions League when their pre-season begins next Monday.

The Nomads, who will be playing in their second campaign, will find out their opponents on June 15 and will be unseeded.
