It’s all change at the top of the table in the Llandyrnog and District Summer League as unbeaten leaders Llanrhaeadr suffered their first lost during matchweek three.
Tuesday’s action saw five away wins out of the six fixtures with only bottom side Caerwys winning at home in a 4-3 thriller against Llandyrnog. Leon Hughes’ brace aswell as goals from Ryan Anderson and Kieron Davies securing a first win of the campaign for the hosts.
Sam Jones and David Lawson-Cooke were the difference in Henllan‘s 2-1 win at Clawddnewydd meanwhile Matty Plevin’s goal seperated Llanfair 1-0 at Ysceifiog.
Already with seven goals to his name, Cefn‘s Jake Walker netted again along with teammate David Evans in their 2-0 win at Trefnant. Llanrhaeadr continued their great start with a 1-0 victory at Nantglyn thanks to Osian Audley.
There were five goals at Llangynhafal v Rhewl as they played out a 2-3 aswell as Hafal seeing a goal disallowed. Dan Maclean and two goals from Jack Cooledge for the away side.
Thursday saw twenty eight goals scored across the six ties as things hotted up towards the top of the table.
Dyfan Evans, Lewys Turner and Will Garrod netted for Clawddnewydd with James Duke Williams (2) and Matty Pendleton scoring for Trefnant in their exciting 3-3 draw.
Henllan‘s Elgan Roberts, David Lawson-Cooke and Ally Stubbs contributed to their 3-0 win against Rhewl taking them back into second place as Jason Alexander’s only goal saw Llanrhaeadr falter at Llanfair.
Ifan Batty, Ifan Jones, Geraint Jones and Rhys Davies ensured that Nantglyn won 4-1 at home against Llangynhafal.
Craig Jones’ double wasn’t enough for Llandyrnog as Ysceifiog hit four past them with goals courtesy of Dan Jones, Harley Doyle, Chris House and Sam Scott.
The game of the evening saw a 6-1 win for Cefn that projected them back to the top of the table against Caerwys with David Evans, Gwion Owen, Jake Walker, Owain Roberts, Tudur Jones and Rhydian Williams all scoring for the league leaders.
