To no surprise, TNS have been tipped to retain their Cymru Premier crown, according to odds offered by the bookmakers.
The men from Oswestry have won the last two leagues after Connah’s Quay ended their eight-year dominance in 2020. Craig Harrison’s side finished 22 points clear of the Nomads last year and there’s a feeling that something similar will follow this season.
TNS are priced at 1/10 by Welsh bookmaker DragonBet, and so if you were to put £1 on then you’d receive 10p back. Connah’s Quay who are at 22/1 would see you get £23 from a £1 bet. Bala Town at 33/1 would see you get £34 from a £1 stake and then Penybont’s 40/1 odds sees a return of £41 from a £41 stake. As for the remaining teams in the league, they’re all priced at 100/1 and that would see a £101 return.
As for the relegation battle, Aberystwyth Town are favourites for the drop, and tipped to go down alongside of them are Barry Town United. Pontypridd United despite a strong recruitment drive are predicted to finish 10th.
